Invitation to Embroidery Exhibition from Madeira

The Union of Embroiderers in Madeira, Portugal, has organised an exhibition of embroidery to promote the skilled embroidery work done by hand by thousands of women on the island of Madeira. Although their embroidery is world famous, the skills of the women homeworkers are still not recognised or valued by many people.
