International Womens Day - March 8th

The Federation of Homeworkers Worldwide (FHWW) sends greetings in solidarity with women around the world, especially those fighting for the rights of women homebased workers.
Homebased workers are the invisible workers. Yet we are present in all countries, North, South, East and West. We make clothes, shoes, food; we pack and assemble thousands of everyday things; we process vegetables, fruit, herbs and other natural products.
Homebased workers are demanding the right to a livelihood,
Fair pay and decent conditions
A minimum level of social and economic security
The right to organise
Recognition for our contribution to the economy.
On International Women’s Day 2007, the FHWW wants to restate its commitment to solidarity with all women fighting against oppression and violence and for equality and justice around the world.
