This summer marks 10 years since we lost Viji Srinivasan, a tireless activist for women’s rights and equality.
Viji Srinavasan (1938-2005) was an inspiration to thousands of women fighting for their rights. Her work was concentrated in Bihar and Jharkand in India, but her vision for justice encompassed women across the world.
Viji founded the women’s organisation Adhiti and worked closely with Homeworkers Worldwide to build an international movement of homeworkers. Viji passed away in 2005, and her wit and wisdom continue to be missed.
