Embroidery in MaderiaOne trade union – the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores da Ind.Bordados, Tapecarias, Tex. E Art. (STIBTTA) or the Union of Embroiderers, for short – has been organising homeworkers doing embroidery for the last thirty years. They have won legal recognition and rights for homeworkers in Madeira.
